More than 1.4 million shekels in cash seized at the home of a suspect for threats in the north
The police raided the homes of two suspects for threats in the north and seized a large amount of cash hidden in a wardrobe. According to the police report, the investigation was opened following a complaint from a person who reported threats to their life. The financial findings were transferred to the Economic Enforcement Unit for examination.
More than 1.4 million shekels in cash and checks for large amounts were seized at the home of a 69-year-old resident of Emek HaMa'ayanot, who is suspected along with a 29-year-old resident of Wadi Ara of making threats, the police stated.
According to the police statement, the investigation was opened following a complaint from a person who reported receiving death threats. Police forces and Border Police officers raided the homes of the two suspects on Tuesday. During a search conducted under a court order at the home of the 69-year-old suspect in Emek HaMa'ayanot, detectives seized the large sum of cash in a wardrobe, alongside checks and additional evidence.
Both suspects were taken for questioning at the police station and were released under restrictive conditions upon its conclusion. Due to the financial findings, the Economic Enforcement Unit (Northern District) of Lahav 433 joined the investigation, and the investigation is ongoing.
