More expensive than Dubai and Paris: The astronomical prices of the hotel in Eilat - "They have lost their minds"

A vacation in Israel can be extremely costly, but new data revealed on the program "Gilboa Index" shows record-breaking figures regarding accommodation prices in the south of the country. During the broadcast, rates were presented for luxury suites at the Royal Club hotel in Eilat, which were compared to the most prestigious hotels around the world.

According to the data presented on screen, the price of the "Caesar Suite" at the Royal Club hotel in Eilat is 104,140 shekels. Host Niv Gilboa reacted with shock:

"They have lost their minds. I'm about to have a heart attack. This is unacceptable."

As part of the comparison conducted on the program, it was revealed that for the same amount, one could book two connecting suites at the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai (UAE), a presidential suite at the Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris (France), or a water villa at the Soneva Fushi hotel in the Maldives.

Furthermore, the program presented an even higher price for the "Kings Suite" at the same hotel in Eilat, which reaches 118,990 shekels. The comparison shows that for this price, one could stay in a Grand De Luxe suite at the Ritz hotel in Paris, a penthouse suite at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel in London (UK), or the flagship suite of the Plaza hotel in New York (USA).

The data presented on the broadcast is sparking a sharp debate regarding the costs of vacationing in Israel compared to leading global destinations. The high prices recorded at the hotel in Eilat point to significant gaps compared to well-known international luxury hotels and raise many questions among consumers and figures in the tourism industry regarding the pricing of luxury vacations in Israel.
