The Ministry of Heritage has finalized a massive plan to strengthen Jewish presence and identity in Judea and Samaria. The steering committee has approved an unprecedented investment of approximately 113 million shekels for the restoration, development, and accessibility of over 70 heritage and historical sites throughout the region.

The initiative, led by Minister of Heritage Amichai Eliyahu, follows months of behind-the-scenes negotiations with the Ministry of Finance to overcome bureaucratic delays. The goal is to place the cradles of the history of the Land of Israel at the top of the national priority list.

The budget will be directed toward a wide range of projects, including archaeological excavations, conservation work on ancient structures, and preparing sites for mass visitation. The Ministry of Heritage emphasized that the plan constitutes a necessary response to years of neglect, during which national and archaeological sites of supreme importance lacked proper resources.

Significant funding will also be invested in improving transportation, including paving and upgrading access roads, alongside the installation of innovative information tools to enhance the visitor experience.

The plan was formulated in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, the Civil Administration, and the Staff Officer for Archaeology Beni Har-Even, who led the professional mapping in the field. Officials familiar with the project note that this is one of the most significant investments made in recent years to preserve the assets of the Jewish people.

"Without the firm backing that Minister Itamar Ben Gvir ensures to provide us throughout the way, all of this would not have happened. 'Otzma Yehudit' has inscribed on its banner the empowerment of Jewish identity and our roots in the Land of Israel – and the transfer of this budget is definitive proof of the results the party brings to the field," stated Minister Amichai Eliyahu.
