Pete Davidson Says Fatherhood Changed His Perspective and Career Goals
Pete Davidson opens up about how fatherhood changed his life, prioritizing his nine-month-old daughter Scotty Rose, maintaining sobriety, and shifting his career focus.

Since becoming a father nine months ago, Pete Davidson has been looking at life through a completely different lens. The 32-year-old Saturday Night Live star shares that the birth of his daughter completely shifted his perspective—from staying sober to carefully choosing his roles as his career takes a back seat.
In a recent interview with Interview magazine, Davidson opened up about how fatherhood reshaped his priorities. Every decision is different now, he noted. The comedian became a father in December 2025 when his daughter, Scotty Rose Hewitt Davidson, was born to him and model Elsie Hewitt. Although the couple parted ways about six months after the birth, Davidson has put everything aside to focus on co-parenting.
Regarding his sobriety, Davidson emphasized that fatherhood made his commitment to staying clean even stronger. I will do whatever it takes to be here for my daughter, he shared. This mindset shift has also transformed his approach to work, as he now weighs how much time he will spend away from home before accepting any new project.
