Police Indict Teenager Over High School Party Stabbing in Petah Tikva
The Israel Police filed an indictment against a teenager for stabbing a student during a violent brawl at an uninvited high school party in Petah Tikva last week. Three youths were lightly wounded in the incident.
The Israel Police filed an indictment on Monday against a teenager involved in the stabbing of a high school student during a brawl in Petah Tikva. The incident occurred approximately a week ago at a party organized by youth to mark the upcoming school year, which was shut down following the outbreak of violence.
The event took place early last week during an all-night "White Night" party organized by rising 12th-grade students in an open area near the Segula industrial zone in the city. During the night, students from another high school arrived at the location uninvited.
The presence of the uninvited teenagers led to a confrontation that quickly escalated into a violent brawl, during which one of the participants drew a knife. As a result, three of the partygoers were stabbed and evacuated to the hospital in light condition. The investigation was launched following a report from the medical staff at the hospital who treated the wounded.
Police forces dispatched to the scene shut down the party, dispersed the participants, and conducted searches in the area, where numerous alcohol bottles were found. Two teenagers were detained for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the incident.
Following an examination of the evidence, the court released one of the suspects under restrictive conditions. The detention of the second suspect was extended periodically for investigation purposes, culminating in the indictment filed against him today for the stabbing.
