Train traffic disruptions in central Israel due to technical failure
Israel Railways reported a halt in train traffic on the Tel Aviv-Lod line due to a power grid malfunction. Normal service resumed after two hours.
At the peak of the rush hour at the start of the week, Israel Railways announced that train traffic between Tel Aviv and Lod had been halted due to a power grid malfunction. The announcement was issued while crowds of commuters were heading to their workplaces and military bases. After more than two hours, service returned to normal.
It is worth recalling that last Sunday morning, the railway also reported disruptions on several lines following a fire near the tracks in Be'er Ya'akov. At that time, service was affected at a long list of stations, including Ashkelon, Rehovot, Be'er Ya'akov, Yavne East, Lod, Rishon LeZion HaRishonim, and Ashdod Ad Halom.
