Chalmi admitted that she had a discreet and secret romantic relationship with another groom from the same season, Aviatar Dangur, who was matched in the program with Noy Itach.
The issue of swapping partners and connections that develop far from the cameras has been considered for years an explosive topic surrounding the matchmaking format of Keshet 12. Over the years, rumors have often surfaced about connections formed between participants who were matched with others, but until today, such a romance has not been confirmed in practice.
As recalled, Chalmi's journey under the chuppah alongside Omer Bar began with love, but as the days passed, disappointments and gaps accumulated, until the two made the decision to withdraw from the process even before completing the 42-day experiment.
Now it turns out that Chalmi's romantic chapter in the reality world was not over at all, and the first hint of what was to erupt occurred during the couples' meeting episode, when she bravely admitted in front of the cameras that Dangur is exactly her style:
"Yes, Aviatar is my taste. I am much more attracted to Mizrahi men. I am not ashamed to say it."
The new revelation takes on an even more intriguing meaning against the background of the fact that shortly after the filming ended, that hint became a reality. An intimate relationship developed between Chalmi and Dangur, which they managed to keep secret and under the radar even from the production staff. When asked about the rumors that surfaced on social media, Chalmi said:
"Aviatar and I are very good friends, he is the best friend and the only friend I have from the program. A real friend for conversations - and we met."
She confirmed that the two met face-to-face, but when asked if there was something beyond friendship, she initially tried to qualify: "What is ours is ours, but today we are not together and we are not a couple."
As the interview deepened, the difficulty of avoiding direct questions was evident: "Here I go again making beginner mistakes like when I declared that I was in a relationship," she said with a smile. Later, she chose to warmly defend Dangur and compliment his true character, which she claimed was damaged by the television editing: "He is a great guy, he is an amazing guy, he is a person with a big heart and I think that in the program he was in a difficult situation."
Ultimately, Chalmi confirmed that the two did indeed try to explore a romantic direction, but made a decision to change phase: "A little before the broadcasts went up, we were in a very good relationship." She emphasized how critical and dramatic keeping the secret was for them: "Nobody knows about it, because it's really forbidden, we are not allowed to meet. They knew we were friends... they didn't know that something happened." And when asked to define for the first time officially whether it was a relationship that was much more than friendly, she summarized the romantic drama in one vague but revealing sentence: "We were in a relationship, like, I don't know how to define it."
