Israeli police arrested a Palestinian resident of the village of Rafat on suspicion of inciting terror on social media. According to law enforcement, the suspect praised terrorists, called for armed confrontation against Israel, and demanded an end to Zionism.
The suspect was apprehended overnight between Saturday and Sunday following an operation by the Judea and Samaria District Police. Investigators monitored his online activity over recent months, uncovering multiple posts suspected of incitement. In one publication, the suspect praised the perpetrators of an arson attack at the Gilad Farm, writing that they deserved the highest ranks of martyrdom in paradise.
In a separate case, the prosecution filed an indictment against a resident of Bardala in his twenties. The charges state that he published content supporting Hamas and the October 7 attacks, including videos showing IDF tanks being targeted in the Gaza Strip.
"We will continue our uncompromising fight against online incitement and those who glorify terrorism," a police spokesperson stated.
Authorities emphasized that operations targeting digital terror support will continue in close cooperation with security agencies to locate and prosecute offenders.
