Pastry Chain Honors Fallen Soldier with Special Cookie Recipe Launch
The Dudu Otmazgin pastry chain partnered with Next October to launch chocolate chip cookies based on a recipe by the late IDF soldier Uriel Aviad Silverman, who fell in Gaza.
A touching initiative by the Dudu Otmazgin pastry chain, led by CEO Tal Amsalem and in collaboration with the Next October organization, brings the taste and memory of the late IDF Sergeant First Class (res.) Uriel Aviad Silverman to store shelves.
Uriel, a soldier in the Armored Corps' 7421st Battalion, fell in combat in the southern Gaza Strip in the Khan Yunis area on January 19, 2024, after being hit by an anti-tank missile. Known as a joyful person with a constant smile, Uriel was also a gifted cook who loved to make others happy through his food.
As part of the commemoration project, the chain will launch a unique chocolate chip cookie package based on an original recipe developed by Uriel. The packaging will feature his picture alongside a QR code leading to a memorial page in his honor. Ahead of the launch, his family visited the chain's production plant in Kiryat Motzkin, baked the cookies together, and saw the special packaging for the first time.
Dudu Otmazgin founded his pastry empire, bringing French confectionery standards to Israel with a central factory in Kiryat Motzkin.
