Oren Dobronsky on joining Likud: "For me, it's a kind of draft order"
Senior high-tech figure Oren Dobronsky, who was reserved a spot in Likud, explains why he decided to enter politics, reveals the high grade he gives the government, and declares that for him, this is a real draft order.

Oren Dobronsky began his path in the world of technology after his military service in Mamram. Among the prominent companies he founded or was a partner in are "Hotbar," which developed unique toolbars for browsers and achieved great commercial success in the late 90s, and "Infolinks," which developed smart online advertising technologies for websites.
Last August, his name made headlines after he joined the Likud party as the first reservation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with his exact position on the list to be determined later. According to the announcement, he is expected to lead the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the economy and various state sectors.
Regarding his view on the management of the campaign and his political moves, Dobronsky said:
"If I had to give a grade for the management of the war, I would give it a 99.5 out of 100. If you had told me on October 7 that we would be where we are today, I would have told you that you are not dreaming, but that there is zero chance. I don't have much to gain from being in politics; from my perspective, the leap is an obligation. The moment Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told me, 'Oren, we need you,' for me, it was a kind of draft order."
He shares:
"I said I cannot say no to such a thing; from my perspective, it is something I must do. I didn't want to do it, I am also not a political person. I think Benjamin Netanyahu should be the next Prime Minister. That is to say, from my perspective, the fact that he offered me a role to manage the AI strategy—I didn't say I'm doing it because I'm against the role. First of all, we are in the middle of a war; it feels like everything is calm, but it is not the end of the story. We have a lot of work to do, and I cannot imagine anyone who would do it better than Netanyahu. Because of what he has done since 7.10, I am stunned that people don't see it. It is okay to have complaints, but if we look only at the management of the war, I am at peace because I feel that I will not forgive myself if I don't do everything so that he is elected as the next Prime Minister."
Dobronsky's joining brings with it rich experience from the world of technology and investments into the public system, with a focus on promoting Artificial Intelligence infrastructure in the State of Israel.
