Office Depot launches extensive back-to-school sales for students, offering discounts on laptops, ergonomic furniture, printers, and stationery across branches and its VAT-free Eilat location.
The academic school year is approaching, bringing with it one of the most expensive shopping periods for students. Alongside backpacks, notebooks, and stationery, the shopping basket now includes laptops, printers, and home study stations. Ahead of the return to universities and colleges, the Office Depot chain is announcing back-to-school sales on a wide range of items such as computers, bags, furniture, printers, and office supplies.
Laptops and Computers
One of the major expenses is the laptop. The chain will offer a wide range of computers starting from 1,500 NIS. Models include the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15IAN8, featuring an Intel Core i3-N305 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 15.6-inch screen. For Apple fans, a refurbished 13-inch MacBook Air with a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD will be offered at 1,849.90 NIS instead of 2,299.90 NIS.
"The student shopping basket has changed significantly in recent years. Studies now take place both on campus and at home, so alongside bags and notebooks, chairs, desks, printers, and technological equipment have also entered the basket," said Haim Aharonov, CEO of Office Depot.
Furniture and Study Stations
In the bag category, various price ranges are available: quality Lenovo bags starting from 49 NIS, BESTLIFE starting from 174 NIS, and luxury Herschel starting from 181 NIS. The home study station enters the sale with a table and chair combo for under 750 NIS. A REED office chair will be sold for 349.90 NIS instead of 599.90 NIS, alongside a 120×60 cm gaming desk priced at 399.90 NIS instead of 599.90 NIS.
For those looking for more advanced models, the Dr. Gav PRINCETON brand chair will be offered at 649.90 NIS instead of 899.90 NIS, and the ZEUS gaming chair at 799.90 NIS instead of 1,099.90 NIS. Electric adjustable desks will also feature discounts, including a wood-tone model for 999.90 NIS instead of 1,499.90 NIS, and a tempered glass model with a drawer for 999.90 NIS instead of 1,599.90 NIS — a savings of 600 NIS.
Printers and Eilat Branch Savings
In the printer category, the chain offers models like the Canon PIXMA TS4150i and PIXMA TS6550i, combining printing, scanning, copying, Wi-Fi connectivity, smartphone printing, and automatic double-sided printing. The TS6550i model also includes an OLED screen.
Those planning a trip to Eilat can save significantly. At the local Office Depot branch, prices are lower thanks to VAT exemption. The chain notes that the branch has become one of its most popular, especially among Israelis who take advantage of visiting the city to purchase computers, technology products, and equipment for the academic year.
Additionally, Office Depot notebooks and selected stationery from brands like Carioca, Faber-Castell, Edding, and Classic will feature a 1+1 promotion, various bags and pencil cases at 30% off, selected bottles and lunch boxes at 20% off, and Campus paper products with the second item at 50% off. The promotions are available at Office Depot branches, subject to stock and promotion terms.
