Ofer Winter, chairman of the Amich Yisrael party, visited Bnei Brak on Thursday evening, where he was confronted by protesters from the extremist Jerusalem Faction.

Protesters shouted at him, accusing him of undermining religious studies, while Border Police officers escorted Winter and cleared the area. Responding to the hecklers, Winter asked: "Why aren't you studying Torah? Can someone explain why he is here attacking us instead of being in a yeshiva?"

This incident follows a similar altercation roughly two weeks ago, when a glass salt shaker was thrown at Naftali Bennett's table during a restaurant visit on Metzada Street in Bnei Brak. Police and Border Police officers at the scene immediately arrested a 26-year-old local resident.

Following the completion of the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Police prosecution unit filed an indictment against the suspect. He faces charges of assault, attempted assault, and conduct likely to breach the public peace, alongside a request for house arrest until the end of legal proceedings.
