Ofek Adanek is the singer arrested on suspicion of violence against his partner

About an hour before his name was cleared for publication, Ofek Adanek published a post this morning (Monday) on the web, revealing that he is the singer who was arrested on suspicion of violence against his partner. Adanek was taken last weekend for questioning under caution at the Rishon LeZion station following a complaint filed against him. The affair was first exposed on N12.

"The last few days have been complex for me," wrote Adanek. "I experienced a breakup from a relationship that was full of powerful love. As part of a private argument with my ex-partner, I injured my leg. Out of the pain and the storm of that moment, the argument became charged and stormy. It is important for me to say in the clearest and most unequivocal way: I have never been and will never be violent, not towards her, not towards any woman, and not towards any person."

He further added that respect for people is a supreme value in his life. "The court reviewed all the details, understood the full picture, and ordered my release. Ultimately, beyond the music and the stage, I am a human being. Arguments are part of the life of every couple. You have shown me love in the last few days that has no price. Music is my place, and I do not intend to go anywhere. I love you, I am already waiting to meet you at the upcoming performances."

24-year-old Adanek is a young dancehall singer who broke into the consciousness in recent years with songs like "Yotzet Min HaKlall" ("Exceptional"), and these days is starring in the charts with the summer hit "Eich SheHi Rokedet" ("How She Dances"), in which he collaborates with Idan Amedi and Agam Buhbut. In a video from the event, he was documented confronting his partner on the street. "Take your things and get out of the house - is that what you wanted?!" He accused her of trying to run him over, and stood in front of her vehicle: "Come on, run me over again."

A source familiar with the details told N12: "The arrest came following at least one case that was brought to the attention of the investigators, who are currently examining the veracity of the complaint's version, alongside examining the possibility that the singer was involved in more than one act of violence."

Yesterday, the first response from the singer to the incident was received. On his behalf, all allegations of violence were denied - and it was stated that it was a private argument between partners. "We completely deny claims and fabrications about assault or violence. We trust the court that decided to release him immediately, and we expect the media and the public to respect its decision," it was stated.

Following the investigation at the police station in the Shfela region, his participation in a performance that was supposed to take place on Saturday was canceled.

The singer's partner also responded to the events. In a post she published on her Instagram page, she wrote: "I went through a very shaking night. Mentally, I am simply crushed." The partner also addressed the claim that arose during the event, according to which she tried to run over the singer, and denied it: "Let's clarify one thing - I didn't run anyone over. It is a completely baseless accusation."

"The story was so simple that it's crazy that it reached these dimensions," she added. "Thank God, the police have all the details and everything is in their hands, and I trust them to do their job properly. No one here knows what the story is and what happened, so don't draw conclusions."
