November 2026 brings a wave of economic changes for Israeli consumers, ranging from fluctuating fuel prices and cheaper passport fees to major shopping events, inflation data, and interest rate decisions.

Fuel Prices and Passport Discounts

Starting today, the maximum price of a 95 octane gasoline liter in self-service drops by 45 agorot, from 7.77 NIS to 7.35 NIS. However, this relief is temporary: on November 5, the price is set to rise to 7.85 NIS per liter after Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich signed an order extending a half-shekel reduction on the blue tax, preventing a sharper hike to 8.35 NIS.

Meanwhile, the Population and Immigration Authority introduced winter discount rates for passport issuance. Online payment for an adult passport fell from 290 NIS to 185 NIS, while minor passport fees dropped from 145 NIS to 110 NIS. The discount remains valid through February 28, 2027.

Shopping Festivals and Financial Indicators

November marks a peak period for retail, highlighted by four major shopping dates. ShoppingIL, the Israeli online shopping event initiated by Google, takes place on November 4-5. It will be followed by Singles' Day on November 11, Black Friday on November 27, and Cyber Monday on November 30.

On the macroeconomic front, the Central Bureau of Statistics will publish the October Consumer Price Index on November 15, following a 0.5 percent drop in September. Eight days later, on November 23, the Bank of Israel Monetary Committee will announce its latest interest rate decision, maintaining a current rate of 3.25 percent.
