Father Reveals Chilling Final Texts with Daughter Murdered at Nova Festival
Three years after the October 7 massacre, the father of festival victim Inbar Shem-Tov has shared her chilling final text messages as he rushed to rescue her.

Three years after the October 7 massacre, Aharon, the father of Inbar Shem-Tov who was murdered at the Nova music festival, has revealed the chilling final text messages exchanged with his daughter as he attempted to rescue her.
The Final Moments in the Container
Inbar had sought refuge inside a cargo container alongside twin sisters Amit and Shani Levy. As terrorists approached, Inbar urged her father not to risk his life by coming for her. "Don't get close, please don't come. We are already getting out of harm's way," she wrote.
She later added that police and the IDF forces were surrounding them from both sides, promising to return home safely. However, as gunfire intensified around their hiding spot, panic set in. Inbar pleaded for help, writing that terrorists continued to arrive.
A Father's Desperate Drive
Refusing to wait any longer, Aharon decided to drive toward Ofakim to extract his daughter. Despite his reassurances that he was on his way, Inbar warned him against acting alone. At 11:40 AM, minutes before going silent, she sent her final harrowing messages.
"Dad, tell them to come quickly, please. I sent our location to a Shin Bet operative. My body is numb and burned, I'm scared and want to fly out of here already. Until someone comes to save us, we will die."
Tragically Surviving
For hours, Aharon desperately messaged her without receiving a reply. Inbar and Amit were tragically murdered in the attack, while Shani managed to survive by hiding beneath their bodies. Today, her memorial bears the inscription: "Here lies a child of love."
