Developments in the investigation of Eldar Dayan's disappearance: New footage released this Wednesday evening shows the 23-year-old missing person at a gas station with two of the arrested suspects, just minutes after they abandoned their vehicle and fled the scene. In the video, Eldar is seen without a shirt, holding two others. He enters the gas station, puts one on, and hands the second to his friend.
Furthermore, as part of the investigation in Petah Tikva, a shirt that may belong to Eldar was located a short distance from where the vehicle—in which he was apparently traveling with friends 12 days ago—was found. Upon receiving the initial report, Petah Tikva police forces conducted a series of investigative actions at the scene. Police sappers, forensic investigators who sampled the vehicle, and traffic accident experts were summoned, while extensive searches were carried out in the area. The investigation has since been transferred to the Central District.
Current situation: Two suspects were arrested by the Dimona station to exert pressure that might lead to discovering the missing person's whereabouts. A raid was conducted last night on an apartment in the center of the country, though it yielded no results. The suspects were later transferred to the Petah Tikva station as part of the criminal proceedings regarding the brawl. Two other individuals involved were detained for questioning and subsequently released to house arrest under restrictive conditions.
Investigation directions: Police are examining several conflicting theories, including the possibility that the young man is on the run. A police source told N12 yesterday that the assessment that Eldar Dayan is on the run is gaining strength, though all options remain on the table. Shilat Naim, Eldar's mother, described her fears:
"I am very afraid that someone is holding my son."
