Niro Levy continues to work, film, and take the stage, but 4 years after the severe car accident he underwent, the rehabilitation for him is still ongoing. In an interview with mako's weekend magazine, the 58-year-old actor spoke about his current condition and the injury that continues to accompany him.

"This accident screwed me up, but there is a big gap between what is happening to me on a physical level and what I project. Physically I am a disabled person, and before the accident I was one hundred out of a hundred."

According to him, his main artery was damaged in the accident, and he suffered injuries that left metal in his body in his hip and pelvis. Levy said that he is in physical therapy twice a week and that for him it is an ongoing process: "The rehabilitation never ends." He also revealed that about 10 months ago there was a deterioration in his condition, during which, according to him, "I was completely paralyzed again."

Despite this, Levy continues to work as an actor and says that he deals with the limitations even when he is on his feet. "I drag a leg, but you didn't notice because I'm a good actor," he said. "I walk with very high awareness. But that doesn't change the fact that my work tools were damaged."

The actor, who was seriously injured in a car accident in the summer of 2022, described the period after the accident as a turning point in his life. He returned to rehearsals while using crutches, among other things to check if he was capable of continuing to work in the profession. Today, despite the pains, he continues to travel to performances and act in new projects.

In the interview, Levy also addressed his career and the question of why he did not participate in the recent projects of Adir Miller, with whom he starred in "Ramzor". According to him, he did not ask Miller why he was not cast: "No. And I also have no explanation for this, because I am not the address for the question." However, he clarified that if he receives an offer for a role from him, he would be happy to return to work with him.

At the same time, Levy is participating in new projects, including the play "The Duck", which is expected to premiere at the Habima Theatre. He said that the work itself is especially important to him and that he does not like to be idle.

His personal life was also brought up in the interview. After the breakup with Yarin Habi, who is 30 years his junior and studies medicine in Lithuania, Levy said that the two spend time together while she is in Israel. "As long as Yarin is in the country, she is with me and we are together," he said, and added about the relationship between them: "I am crazy about her. She is a very special woman with a very special character."
