Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered a comprehensive review of all security aspects concerning foreign airlines operating flights to Israel, following a thwarted terror attack on a Flydubai flight.

Over the weekend, Netanyahu stated that the terrorist had undergone radical Islamist indoctrination and intended to crash the plane with all its passengers. He praised Yaniv and his colleagues for their resourcefulness, calling them heroes who prevented a disaster on the scale of September 11. He also addressed indications of external terrorist involvement, stating that the investigation is actively pursuing where the operative was dispatched from and warning that those responsible will pay a heavy price.

These remarks follow initial acknowledgments in the United Arab Emirates that the incident was indeed a terror attack. The Omani terrorist was transferred from Saudi Arabia to the UAE, where authorities launched an investigation. A diplomatic source confirmed that Israel will also participate in the probe to uncover the orchestrators and their motives.
