International Figures Extend Early Congratulations to Netanyahu Amid Vote
Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša and former Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán congratulated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Likud's election performance, amid ongoing political uncertainty in Israel.

Despite the inconclusive results of the recent Israeli elections, international reactions have begun to emerge, led by pro-Israeli figures offering early congratulations to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party.
Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša was among the first to extend his greetings, writing on social media to congratulate Israel on high voter turnout and praising Netanyahu's leadership amid challenging circumstances. Slovenia's diplomatic stance has shifted notably since a new government took office in June 2026, breaking with broader European Union consensus by vetoing a joint EU statement opposing Israeli construction plans in the E1 area near Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria.
Former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also congratulated Netanyahu, praising his electoral resilience despite having recently lost power himself. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, who publicly voiced support for Netanyahu ahead of the vote, has yet to issue formal post-election congratulations.
