Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the heavy security measures required for his interview with the Daily Mail, noting that apart from Donald Trump, he is considered the most heavily guarded figure on Earth. Following a taxi ride in Jerusalem, journalists faced a multi-layered security check involving blast-resistant bollards, massive gates, and advanced screening machines. The atmosphere inside the special studio was tense, guarded by masked special forces commandos.

Clash with the British Labour Government

Netanyahu launched an unprecedented attack on the British Labour government led by Andy Burnham, accusing it of acting like a rogue state that appeases an "Islamist-leftist alliance." His anger stems from London's decision to ban trade with Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, following previous moves by former Prime Minister Keir Starmer to freeze arms licenses and recognize a Palestinian state. Netanyahu highlighted the hypocrisy of these sanctions, noting they were imposed shortly after Israeli intelligence thwarted an Iranian-backed terrorist plot targeting the British Royal Air Force base in Fairford.

"This was thwarted. This was prevented. Without the intelligence Israel provided, the operation would probably have gone ahead, and we do not know how many Britons would have lost their lives. There is an incredible hypocrisy here. They appease their enemies and attack those who defend them," Netanyahu stated.

The Battle of Western Civilization

Quoting Winston Churchill's warnings about the "slumber of democracies," Netanyahu argued that Western nations have still not awakened to the threats they face. He defended Israel's military campaigns against Hamas and Hezbollah, emphasizing that the country is fighting not only for its own survival but to protect moderate Arab states from Iranian hegemony. Addressing the Iranian public directly amid U.S. maximum pressure policies, Netanyahu expressed confidence that the regime would eventually fall, urging citizens not to lose faith.

The Miracle on the Flydubai Flight

Turning to aviation security, Netanyahu addressed the recent near-disaster on a Flydubai flight to Israel, confirming that the attacker had undergone radicalization and that his handlers would pay a heavy price. Marking the 50th anniversary of Operation Entebbe—during which his brother Yoni was killed—Netanyahu praised the extraordinary bravery of Israeli passengers, particularly Yaniv Hayon, a plumber who overpowered a knife-wielding attacker in the cockpit and pulled the control stick to avert a catastrophic crash.

Elections and Personal Toll

With upcoming Knesset elections scheduled for October 27, 2026, Netanyahu defended his track record against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, warning voters against political instability. He also addressed the personal toll of public service, lamenting the vicious attacks directed at his wife Sara and his children. Concluding his remarks, Netanyahu offered a stark warning to Britain regarding its migration crisis, urging the UK to regain control of its borders before it is too late.
