The National Insurance Institute has released the updated payment and reporting dates for October 2026. Unlike September, which featured numerous holiday-related shifts, payment schedules are returning to their regular fixed days this month. Unemployment and income support beneficiaries received their funds on Monday, October 12, followed by child allowances on Tuesday, October 20, with a base rate of approximately 169 NIS per child.

Main Allowance Payouts

The primary payout date for long-term beneficiaries—including general disability, old-age, survivors, nursing care, and disabled child allowances—is set for Wednesday, October 28. In 2026, the full general disability allowance for an individual stands at 4,711 NIS, while the basic old-age allowance for an individual is 1,838 NIS, reaching up to approximately 2,757 NIS including maximum seniority increments. Employers and self-employed individuals faced the mandatory reporting and payment deadline for national insurance and health insurance contributions on Thursday, October 15.

Rehabilitation Investment for Victims

Meanwhile, the National Insurance Institute announced an investment of approximately 28 million NIS to expand rehabilitation services for victims of hostilities through specialized 'Mind, Body, Spirit' centers. These services cater to individuals recognized by the National Insurance Institute as victims of hostilities with a disability rating of 20% or higher, offering the first year of activity completely free of charge. Over 30,000 recognized victims currently meet this threshold, with roughly half residing in The South, prompting a special emphasis on accessibility in that region, including centers in Sha'ar HaNegev, Adi Negev, and Sderot.
