The National Insurance Institute announced that unemployment benefits and income support payments will be disbursed to eligible recipients on October 12.

Unemployment benefits are intended for individuals who have stopped working and meet the eligibility criteria, which include Israeli residency, a suitable age, registration at the Employment Service, and a qualifying period of at least 12 months of work as an employee out of the 18 months preceding the initial registration.

Income support is designed to provide financial assistance to those with no income or low income. Eligibility and the amount of the allowance depend on the income of the insured and their spouse, as well as assets such as vehicles, real estate, and financial holdings. The National Insurance advises recipients to monitor updated payment dates and ensure their personal details are current.
