Nasdaq Hits Record High and Bitcoin Surges Toward $86,000
Wall Street's Nasdaq hit a record above 27,100 and Bitcoin surged to $86,000, boosted by U.S.-Iran diplomacy, oil drops, and SEC approval for tokenized stock trading.

As Wall Street closed on Monday, the Nasdaq index reached a new intraday record, crossing the 27,100 point threshold. The previous peak was recorded in June. Concurrently, Bitcoin surged today to approximately $86,000, marking its highest level since January.
The sharp gains on Wall Street came amid reports of progress in diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran, which also led to a significant drop in oil prices. Furthermore, the planned meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping added to market optimism.
Simultaneously, the crypto market turned green. The current surge in Bitcoin is also driven by a major decision from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to grant a special exemption allowing, under certain conditions, the trading of tokenized stocks.
This step enables the trading of Wall Street corporate shares on blockchain networks. Under this arrangement, tokens representing stocks must grant holders rights and benefits equivalent to traditional equities, including voting rights and dividends.
The regulator's decision is viewed by financial markets as a milestone deepening the integration of blockchain technology into traditional capital markets. This green light improved sentiment in the crypto market, coinciding with a massive liquidation of leveraged positions. The sharp rally in Bitcoin forced short-sellers to close their positions, intensifying buying pressure and accelerating the upward trend.
