Munich Airport Lifts 100ml Liquid Restriction in Hand Luggage

Travelers passing through Munich Airport can now breeze through security without the long-standing 100 ml liquid restriction, as containers of up to two liters are officially permitted in hand luggage.

Thanks to the installation of advanced CT scanners costing approximately 45 million euros, passengers are no longer required to remove liquid containers or electronic devices from their bags. This major upgrade aims to significantly speed up security checks for families and frequent flyers alike.

While Munich has embraced the new technology, travelers are advised to check security protocols in advance, as phased implementation may still require standard rules at certain checkpoints or connecting airports.
