Amid rising global antisemitism and boycott calls against Israel, some international figures express passionate support. Russian-Israeli rapper Alisher Morgenshtern, 28, who recently completed conversion to Judaism, made a bold statement in Spain.
Spain previously withdrew from the Eurovision Song Contest due to Israel's participation, sparking controversy. During a Saturday concert in Valencia, Morgenshtern draped himself in an Israeli flag. He told the audience, "I am not into politics at all, but we are now in a country that hates Israel very much," adding that light can be found in the darkest places.
Spiritual Journey and Success
Morgenshtern gained fame in Russia before immigrating to Israel under the Law of Return in 2022. He adopted the Hebrew name Yisrael Yehuda. Forbes once estimated his annual earnings at 7.4 million dollars, cementing his global status.
"Even in the darkest place, you can find light."
He is now scheduled to perform in Israel, with upcoming shows at Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv and Romema Arena in Haifa, bringing his massive international tour home.
