"My son is underground and they are asking for benefits": Mother of the late Binyamin Razi reacts to the indictments

Following the court's decision to file indictments against the suspects in the murder of the late Binyamin Razi, his mother commented on the latest developments in the case. In a conversation with Walla! reporter Efrat Forsher, Dikla Razi stated:

"Thank God, there are six defendants in the murder. We are shocked by the attitude of some of the families and the benefits that the defendants are asking for—their conditions do not suit them—perhaps they thought they were going to a hotel after they murdered my son."

According to Dikla, during the hearing, the grandmother of the defendant Aviad sat in the hall and called her late son a 'dog' while looking her in the eyes and mocking her. "She says to me: 'You think you're a celebrity.' I wish I had remained anonymous. There is no voice of my son, who is underground, and they want benefits in conditions. They should rot in prison and not see the light of day."

Razi added that she feels threatened by Linor Sasson, one of the suspects in aiding the murder. "She has a criminal organization and branches everywhere." Dikla added that she is appealing to the court with the demand that if they release her, the family will feel threatened: "We receive curses and mockery, they look us in the eyes, and we understand who we are dealing with. They should be behind bars for the rest of their lives."

Attorneys Idan Gamlieli and Ofer Ehrlich, representing one of the minors accused of the murder, stated:

"Today the indictment was filed and we have not yet received the investigation materials—but already from an initial review, a picture emerges of an unplanned and unfolding event that ended tragically. The minor denies that he directly caused the death of Binyamin. After we receive the materials, we will present our arguments in court."

As recalled, the State Attorney's Office filed two indictments this morning at the Jerusalem District Court against seven defendants in the case of the murder of the late Razi, who was murdered about three weeks ago in an Airbnb apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem. Six of the defendants—four minors aged 15–17, Agam Tsarfi (19) from Jerusalem, and Shilat Huta (20) from Be'er Sheva—are charged with intentional murder and aggravated assault. In addition, the four minors are charged with illegal possession of a knife and obstruction of justice.

Against Linor Sasson (46) from Jerusalem, the mother of one of the defendants, Aviad Sasson, an indictment was filed for related offenses, as the evidentiary basis against her did not materialize into an indictment for murder. Sasson is charged with aiding after the fact and obstruction of justice.
