Unusual Clarification from the Chief Rabbinate: "The Publication Is Incorrect"

The Ministry of Religious Services and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel have issued a formal clarification following publications by the "Anachnu Tchelet" association. The organization had claimed to operate "in full cooperation with the Chief Rabbinate of Israel," offering couples personal guidance, support, and assistance in arranging marriage registration documents.

The Ministry of Religious Services and the Chief Rabbinate clarified that these claims are incorrect and that there is no cooperation whatsoever between official bodies and the association. They stated that the association has not been granted approval or authorization, and there is no institutional connection between the entity and the Chief Rabbinate or the Ministry of Religious Services.

Authorities further emphasized that this clarification applies not only to "Anachnu Tchelet" but to any association, organization, or private entity presenting itself as operating in cooperation with the Chief Rabbinate or the Ministry, or under their auspices, without official certification.

The Rabbinate and the Ministry noted that the marriage registration process in Israel is carried out solely through regional Rabbinate offices and official state systems. No private entity or association is authorized to act on their behalf.

Consequently, the Ministry and the Rabbinate called on the public to contact Rabbinate offices directly for marriage registration and to avoid relying on bodies that claim to represent the Rabbinate without official accreditation.
