Miri Mesika in a surprising revelation: "Sexually harassed an IDF officer"

Miri Mesika provided a surprising revelation during her joint podcast with Keren Peles, "Of All the Girls in the World," when she shared personal experiences from her military service and the special dynamic between the two.

During the conversation, Mesika and Peles spoke about their close relationship, which they described as one that sometimes crosses normal boundaries. Peles spoke about Mesika's habit during joint performances and told her: "Every performance I tell you, Miri, try not to touch my boobs."

Mesika replied with humor: "It doesn't count, it's symbiosis. It's like touching myself, there is no understanding of boundaries." The two continued to talk about their long-standing friendship and the great closeness between them, both on stage and behind the scenes.

Later in the conversation, Mesika returned to her time in the army and told of an unusual incident in which, according to her, she found herself in an embarrassing situation with a battalion commander.

"I am the only person in the IDF who sexually harassed a battalion commander," the singer said.

According to her, the incident occurred without any special intent, when she offered the battalion commander strawberries. "I just happened to have strawberries, and I said to him, 'Want a strawberry?'" she recounted.

Mesika added that at that time she was inexperienced in romantic matters: "And I was a virgin. I was a virgin until age 32, there was no understanding at all." According to her, the battalion commander was alarmed by the situation, and following the incident, she was transferred to another base. Mesika summarized the event with humor and called it "the first case of reverse sexual harassment."
