Ministry of Health Warns Against Dangerous Weight-Loss Product G-Slim

The Ministry of Health has issued a public warning against the purchase and consumption of the product "G-Slim", which is marketed as a weight-loss supplement but is not approved by the ministry. The warning follows enforcement and inspection activities that revealed unauthorized substances inside the product.

Dangerous Laboratory Results

Laboratory tests conducted on the product showed that it contains the active pharmaceutical ingredient Sibutramine, a substance banned for marketing in Israel and many other countries due to severe health risks. The Ministry of Health emphasized that there are no registered preparations containing this substance in Israel.

"In a single capsule of the product, 53.8 mg of Sibutramine was found—an amount more than three times higher than the dosage previously found in similar outlawed products," health officials stated.

Health Risks and Hospitalization

The discovery comes amid a recent report of a young man who was hospitalized after consuming the product. According to the report, the individual suffered from chest pains and rapid heart rates following its use.

Sibutramine can cause severe side effects when consumed without medical supervision, including:

• Elevated blood pressure

• Rapid heart rate and anxiety

• Insomnia and irritability

• Increased risk of heart attacks, strokes, and psychiatric disorders

Ministry Recommendations

The Ministry of Health urges the public to avoid purchasing unverified and counterfeit health products, especially through social media, messaging groups, and unverified websites. Citizens are advised to purchase medications, nutritional supplements, and health products exclusively from authorized pharmacies and reputable drugstores, and to consult licensed nutritionists for weight loss.
