Michal Peylan reaches milestone after moving interview: "We raised over 2 million shekels"

Rimon Buchshtab-Kirsht, a survivor of captivity who was kidnapped on October 7 along with her husband, recently made headlines following an interview with Channel 12. During the conversation with journalist Michal Peylan, she spoke about the abuse she endured, the treatment she received from her captors, and the profound regret she has carried since being forced to separate from her husband, who was murdered in captivity.
In light of the trauma Rimon has experienced since October 7, her friends launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund her new home and the long rehabilitation process ahead. About an hour after the interview aired, the Israeli public demonstrated immense generosity, donating over a million shekels within that single hour.
Michal Peylan provided an update on the fundraising progress today, Sunday. In a post on her X account, the journalist wrote:
"We have reached over two million shekels. The best news of the day. Thank you to all the beautiful Israelis who do not stand idly by."
