Murder in Netivot: A man in his 40s shot to death

Two people were wounded this evening, Saturday, by gunfire in a violent incident in Netivot. The condition of one victim was critical, and his death was subsequently pronounced at the scene. A 29-year-old man sustained light injuries. Minutes later, a report was received regarding an 18-year-old who was moderately wounded in a violent incident in Bir al-Maksur in the Lower Galilee.
Yesterday, two residents of the Bedouin diaspora in the Negev, in their 20s and 30s, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder of 26-year-old Amer Al-Qaraan, which occurred a day earlier in Kuseife. The vehicle used by the suspects was also seized. The investigation revealed that the background to the incident is a criminal dispute between two factions of the same family.
Al-Qaraan was evacuated during the night to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba in critical condition, alongside another person who was lightly wounded, but doctors were forced to pronounce his death. The police stated that the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
