The famous rapper Megan Thee Stallion revealed that during a performance of the musical Moulin Rouge on Broadway last March, she was certain she was suffering a stroke and was rushed to the hospital in the middle of the show. In an interview published yesterday, the rapper shared that the scary incident occurred during her first week on stage.

A Frightening Stage Experience

I thought I was having a stroke, Megan Thee Stallion said. I was not getting enough oxygen to my brain, so my hands froze. My face froze. I tried to tell everyone that I did not think I was okay. They thought I was just dehydrated.

I thought I was having a stroke. I was not getting enough oxygen to my brain, so my hands froze.

Kelsey Watts, another actress in the production, shared that Megan initially wanted to push through the medical scare. She wanted to continue the show because she knew so many of her fans were there and so many people were excited to see her, but she simply had to go.

Recovery and Lifestyle Changes

At the hospital, doctors determined it was not a stroke, but rather exhaustion and a panic attack. Just two days later, she returned to Broadway to continue performing. According to Megan, who is 31 years old, she did not want to disappoint anyone, even as she arrived for daily shows while feeling mentally overwhelmed.

After that terrifying event, she realized she had to focus solely on the performance itself, cut back on surrounding activities, and reduce her schedule from eight shows a week to seven, ultimately wrapping up her planned eight-week run two weeks early.

I am definitely trying to drink more water, she said regarding her current routine, and to stay calmer.
