Minister for Social Equality and the Advancement of Women May Golan is expected to be questioned by the end of the week, following an agreement reached between the police and her attorney, Amit Hadad.

Roughly a week ago, the National Fraud Investigations Unit (Lahav 433) concluded its probe regarding Golan and her associates. The suspects are being investigated on suspicion of committing a series of offenses related to integrity, including bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, as well as obtaining property by false pretenses under aggravating circumstances, forgery, obstruction of justice, and hindering a police officer.

The investigation against Golan and her associates began as a covert operation lasting several months and became overt last September with the approval of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. Dozens of suspects and witnesses have been questioned by Lahav 433 investigators in connection with the case.

The criminal investigation was launched following an investigative report by Channel 12, which scrutinized Golan's ministerial conduct, budget allocations, donations, and meeting schedules. Police previously raided her office as part of the ongoing proceedings.
