A 64-year-old man was pulled from the water this Saturday morning unconscious near Neve Yam beach, close to Atlit. An MDA team performed resuscitation efforts on-site and evacuated him to Rambam Hospital in the north.

The incident occurred at 10:02, when MDA medics and paramedics were called to the beach following reports from visitors about a drowning. They provided immediate medical treatment and performed resuscitation procedures.

MDA emergency medical technicians Helena Makdad and Linoy Azulay stated:

"We received a report about a man pulled from the water. We arrived at the coastline and found the patient unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, while basic resuscitation was already underway. We continued medical treatment, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and administration of medications, and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital in critical condition while continuing to fight for his life."
