"Mom, they filmed my private body": The affair shaking a school in the center

It was supposed to be another quiet night for H., a mother of two daughters from the south, who is in the midst of a complex struggle for their future. But when she clicked on a file sent to her by her lawyer, her world collapsed. There, inside a dry legal document, the bitter truth was revealed: her eldest daughter, Hana (pseudonym), fell victim to a cruel and manipulative game at school in Rishon LeZion — an event that occurred a month earlier, without being brought to her attention.

Everything started towards the end of the school year. An apparently innocent game of "truth or dare" between students turned into a honey trap for 10-year-old Hana. Older students exerted heavy pressure on the girl, using the most sensitive weapon at that age: the need for belonging.

"They promised her that if she did it, they would be her best friends and bring her a surprise," the mother tells with pain in an interview with C14. Under the pressure and the promise of a social connection, Hana performed the task: she was asked to take off her pants. At that moment, phones were pulled out. The event was documented and distributed within minutes to the school students' WhatsApp groups.

"I smiled out of shame"

The video went viral at school. According to testimonies, dozens of students and staff members were exposed to the embarrassing footage. When the secretary called Hana to her office, the stunned girl did not know how to react. "The secretary told me that you can see me smiling in the video," Hana says in a small voice, "but it was only out of shame. I was afraid to tell Mom because they promised to keep it a secret."

Weeks passed, and Hana carried the terrible secret within her, experiencing silent post-trauma. While the education system and those around her knew what was happening, her mother remained in the dark. "I am shocked that no one shared it with me," says H. "Where was the school? Where was the principal? How does a girl go through such a thing and no one picks up the phone to call her mother?".

Now that the truth has come to light, H. does not intend to remain silent. Through legal support she received free of charge, she is launching a fight against the school and the parents of the involved girls. She refuses to allow her daughter to return to the place where she was humiliated, and is determined to give her the treatment and security she so desperately needs. When she spoke with her daughter, she told her: "Mom, they filmed my private body!".

These days the girls are with H., wrapped in warmth and an attempt to rebuild the ruins. "I am doing everything so that my daughters will be well," she concludes in tears. "Hana is afraid to start the new school year. My girl went through a nightmare, and I will be her voice until justice is served."

"A complaint was filed with the police"

We spoke with attorney Sheli Gurvich Levi, who, after learning the details of the incident, decided to offer H. her services free of charge. "This is an extreme event in our society, which constitutes a social evil today among children and teenagers in Israeli society, and we are witnessing such sad acts day in and day out," she says.

According to her, "the evidence is unequivocal and speaks to the fact that terrible things were done to a helpless minor girl, taking advantage of her severe distress. I am sorry that educational factors, which had all the evidence in their hands at the time, did not take harsh and appropriate steps against such serious acts, and no party bothered to inform the minor's mother."

In conclusion, Levi emphasizes that "at the moment a complaint has been filed with the police and I am confident that the police will do their job faithfully and legal steps will be taken against all those involved in the matter."
