MK Yulia Malinovsky (Yisrael Beiteinu) threatens to petition the Supreme Court against the government if, according to her, it does not implement the UNRWA laws in full. In a statement on her behalf, Malinovsky claimed that although the laws were approved in the Knesset, UNRWA is still operating in Kafr Aqab and in Area C.

Malinovsky, who initiated the laws, stated that the first law passed in October 2024 and that the Supreme Court did not issue an injunction against it. According to her, the petition against the laws is still ongoing, but there is no legal impediment for the government and the ministers to act to implement them.

She further claimed that she had sent letters to the Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, and also requested to hold tours on the subject, but she did not receive a response. She claims that the Minister of Defense has not issued a directive to evacuate UNRWA from the areas where it operates, even though this is an authority granted to him.

"If the government does not come to its senses and implement the UNRWA laws to the last comma, I will petition the Supreme Court against it and expose its true face to the public," said Malinovsky.

She added that if the government had implemented the law as written, the petition would have been unnecessary. She accused the government of not implementing the Knesset's laws, while simultaneously placing the responsibility on the Supreme Court.
