Kan's Arabic News Division Makan Unveils Major Rebrand and New Studio Ahead of October 27 Elections
Makan News, the Arabic division of Israeli public broadcaster Kan, is rolling out a major rebranding campaign across all platforms ahead of the October 27 Knesset elections, featuring a state-of-the-art studio in Jerusalem.

Makan News, the Arabic-language news division of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan), is launching a comprehensive rebranding campaign across television, digital, and radio platforms. The initiative, debuting ahead of the upcoming elections to the 26th Knesset scheduled for October 27, 2026, aims to align with the fresh visual language of Kan News in Hebrew.
New Studio and Technological Leap
The centerpiece of this renewal is a brand-new news studio in Jerusalem, custom-designed for the network's needs. The studio was designed by Oren Hanan, who is responsible for major broadcasting sets in Israel, including the 2022 and 2026 World Cup and Euro 2023 studios. The facility underwent a comprehensive technological upgrade featuring multiple anchor desks, advanced infograhics systems, and dedicated spaces for special segments.
The new studio, into which a great deal of work, thought, and planning was invested, alongside our radio renewal, will allow us to bring news to Arabic speakers in an innovative, professional, independent, and accessible manner, said Lior Landenberg, Head of News at Kan.
Complete Brand Unification
Alongside the screen and digital platforms, the Makan radio station is also introducing a fresh musical package, including new signature tunes and transitions tailored to the style of Reshet Bet. This completes the unified branding of the news division, culminating in special election broadcasts on October 27, featuring exit polls conducted by Dudi Hasid from the Kantar Institute.
