Maccabi Tel Aviv Dedicates Upcoming Games to October 7 Victims and Reservists
Maccabi Tel Aviv announced upcoming EuroLeague and league games will honor the victims of October 7 and military reservists, featuring memorial ceremonies and community tributes.

Maccabi Tel Aviv announced on Wednesday that its upcoming EuroLeague and domestic league games will be dedicated to the memory of the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack and Israel's ongoing personal and societal revival.
The team will take the court tomorrow at 19:00 in Belgrade against Milan wearing yellow uniforms adorned with black ribbons. During the final training session before departure, the players observed a moment of silence to honor the victims.
On Saturday night, Maccabi will play its season opener in the domestic league at Menora Mivtachim Arena. The match against Hapoel Galil Elyon will focus on the events of October 7, the war, and community initiatives that emerged in its wake. Screens in the inner ring corridor will display photographs of Maccabi fans and members murdered since the terror attacks and during security forces operations.
Children from the Gaza envelope region will stand alongside the players during team introductions. Micha Biton, a resident of Netiv HaAsarah, will perform the national anthem. During halftime, the club will present the "Maccabi Tel Aviv - Passing for Life" team, largely dedicated to individuals suffering from operational trauma incurred during military service.
Maccabi will also hold a ceremony honoring reservists from the broader Maccabi family. The award, named after the late Capt. (res.) Rotem Levi—a leader of the "Gate" fan organization who fell as a combat officer in the northern Gaza Strip—will be presented to reservists. The first recipient, M., has served approximately 555 reserve duty days as an officer in the northern Paratroopers Brigade since the outbreak of the war.
