The ownership situation surrounding Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball continues to draw attention as American investor Jason Levin steps into the spotlight.

In an interview with Sport 5, Levin explained his decision to invest in the club: "Sports and Israel are very important to me, and my entire career has been in sports. Originally a lawyer, I met Shimon Mizrahi through my work and realized how powerful Maccabi is as a club and a force. I have worked around sports all my life, and that is why this is so important to me."

Addressing the Management Crisis

Commenting on the ongoing management crisis at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Levin noted the positive energy surrounding his involvement. "I brought a lot of positive energy with me. Chus Bueno sat next to me; we brought him in to understand what Maccabi Tel Aviv is and what Israel needs, seeing it as an opportunity to bring Israel back, which was very significant."

Levin also addressed the sensitive ownership dispute:

This is unfortunate. It is not what I expected, and beyond that, I only want the best for the club. I hope this gets resolved as quickly as possible. I know how much Recanati and Shimon care about the club, they have been here for many years. It is a difficult moment, but there are many great things happening here.

Future Investments and European Ambitions

Looking ahead, Levin emphasized financial growth and European ambitions for the yellow-and-blue squad. "I think we have seen a major investment in the club already this year in players and talent, and I believe there will be more investments in the future. Over time, we want to make smart investments and be very thorough in how we approach them."
