Minister of Transport Miri Regev arrived today, Thursday, at the Mahane Yehuda market as part of the Likud primary campaign. During the visit, a confrontation developed between her and Nissim Louk, the father of the late Shani Louk, who was kidnapped and murdered at the Nova festival on October 7.

Louk shouted at Regev:

"You caused October 7. Be ashamed, Likud."

Regev replied: "You do not know how proud we are to be."

Later, Louk said: "3,000 murdered because of you. Continue to smile. Shani Louk, my daughter, was murdered because of you." During the confrontation, activists stood between Louk and the minister's campaign trailer.

Louk continued, claiming: "The Likud funded Hamas." Regev's spokesperson tried to distance him from the scene, but Louk replied: "Do not come near me."

One of the Likud activists attacked Louk, saying: "You are trash. What does this have to do with her? Do not come to make provocations." After Louk accused the Likud of funding Hamas, the activist replied: "You funded Hamas, you, and Bennett and Lieberman." During the confrontation, after Louk accused the government of an agreement with Hamas, the activist said: "Bibi decides what will be."

Regev: "Committed to establishing a national commission of inquiry"

Response of Minister Miri Regev: "Minister Miri Regev shares in the immense pain of the families who lost their loved ones in the October 7 massacre, including the family of the late Shani Louk. Minister Regev spoke at length with the father, comforted him in his pain, and told him that her daughter is also a Nova survivor and her friends were murdered at Nova. At the end of the conversation, the minister promised that she is committed to establishing a national commission of inquiry that will investigate everyone. Furthermore, by virtue of her role as a cabinet member, she will continue to act for the security of the State of Israel, the dismantling of Hamas, and the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip."
