The surprising union of the year: Rita and Ethnix in a joint and moving performance
The Bank Hapoalim toast-raising event provided a rare musical moment, as Rita and Ethnix collaborated for the first time since 1990 and got all the senior business figures on their feet.

Musical drama and nostalgia at its best were recorded last night at the Charles Bronfman Auditorium (Heichal HaTarbut) in Tel Aviv. During the toast-raising event in honor of the new year for the business division of Bank Hapoalim, guests were treated to a rare moment when singer Rita hosted the members of the band Ethnix for a joint performance of the legendary hit "Legend of the Sun and the Moon" for the first time together on one stage in over 30 years.
The song, which became one of the greatest timeless classics in Israeli music, was originally born in the artistic part of the 1990 Festigal in honor of the show's tenth anniversary. Its lyrics were written by the late Ehud Manor, and it was composed by band members Zeev Nehama and Tamir Kaliski. Over the years, the hit was included in the successful compilation albums of both sides, but the joint live performance remained a distant memory until last night's moving closing of the circle.
The glittering event, held under the title "Let the year and its blessings begin", brought together the senior figures of the Israeli economy, the management of Bank Hapoalim, and the clients of the business division. The guests were welcomed by the bank's chairman Noam Hanegbi, CEO Yadin Antebi, and the deputy CEO in charge of the business division Shmulik Arbel. After an elaborate reception, dinner, and welcoming remarks by the bank's management, the evening concluded with the surprising musical performance that got the audience on their feet and took everyone straight back to the early 90s.
