Lucy Aharish and Tsahi Halevi: "You can't argue with feelings"
Ahead of the "Dancing with the Stars" round of 16, actor Tsahi Halevi opened up about his wife Lucy Aharish's jealousy regarding his dance partner. He admitted that if the roles were reversed, he would likely feel the same way.
The new season of the dance show "Dancing with the Stars" on Keshet 12 is in full swing. One of the most intriguing contestants this year is actor Tsahi Halevi, husband of Lucy Aharish, who has been receiving high praise from both the audience and the judges since the season began.
As in every season, the question of how the stars' personal lives are affected by the competition has surfaced. The long hours spent in rehearsal rooms, combined with the intimate nature of the choreography, inevitably take their toll.
Just before the round of 16, airing tonight on Keshet 12, Tsahi Halevi and his partner Nina Sol were interviewed on the "Morning News." Among other topics, the actor shared his wife's perspective on the experience:
"You can't argue with feelings," Halevi shared.
When Lucy Aharish first arrived at the dance floor to watch her husband, she made no secret of the fact that it sparked some jealousy. Other contestants face similar challenges; Shiri Maimon noted that her own husband is counting down the days until the show ends.
"Ultimately, there is an intensity to it, as we spend so much time together dancing in the studio," Halevi explained. "If it were the other way around, I imagine I would also be in a state of constant jealousy." He added that he feels fortunate to have such a supportive partner: "Luckily for me, I have an amazing, encouraging wife, without whom I would not have survived this adventure."
In tonight's episode, the contestants will perform a dance involving a "surprise box." Tsahi, who revealed that he dislikes surprises, said: "I wish it would be Lucy, or Adam, or Dean surprising me from abroad. Maybe my mother or friends—I really have no clue. I hope I can hold onto the excitement and remember the steps."
