The strange directive of the new Deputy Foreign Minister Michel Bouskila

The new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, MK Michel Bouskila, instructed upon entering his office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem that the wall should display not only the photos of former Foreign Ministers, but also those of the Deputy Foreign Ministers. Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who reported this to ynet, noted that this is one of the first decisions made by Bouskila since he took office following the resignation of his predecessor, MK Sharren Haskel.

Since Friday, all attempts to obtain Bouskila's response to the report have been in vain. Neither he nor his spokesperson bothered to respond to requests for comment. In the offices of ministers and deputy ministers, it is customary for the walls to display the photos of the ministers, and this was also the case in the Deputy Foreign Minister's office. Bouskila, a Deputy Foreign Minister in a transitional government, decided that the photos of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of all generations should also be hung.

Bouskila is the 15th Deputy Foreign Minister. He was preceded by: Sharren Haskel, Idan Roll, Tzipi Hotovely, Tzachi Hanegbi, Ze'ev Elkin, Danny Ayalon, Majalli Wahabi, Michael Melchior, Nawaf Masalha, Eli Dayan, Yossi Beilin, Benjamin Netanyahu, Roni Milo, and Yehuda Ben-Meir.
