Israeli Couple Wins 10 Million Shekels in Mifal HaPais Lottery
A female couple in their 40s claimed a 10 million shekel lottery jackpot after nearly missing the draw. The winning ticket combined personal meaningful numbers and automated selections.

A female couple in their 40s won the 10 million shekel grand prize in the Mifal HaPais lottery draw held on September 1. The day after the draw, the couple arrived at the lottery headquarters, still struggling to process the news.
The win almost did not happen. One of the partners explained:
"On Monday, I went to buy a ticket, but when I arrived, the booth was already closed. A gut feeling told me not to give up on this draw, so on Tuesday, I decided to go back and purchase the ticket."
The ticket consisted of a combination of personal numbers with special meaning to them and numbers completed automatically by the "Lotomat" system.
The morning after the draw, she logged into the Mifal HaPais application and checked the numbers one by one. Realizing the scale of the win, she immediately called her partner:
"We won 10 million shekels. I am shaking, I cannot even drive."
After verifying the numbers together, they drove straight to the Mifal HaPais headquarters. According to the couple, the money will allow them to secure financial stability for their children, who were born after years of medical treatments.
"For years, we have been talking about our dream of a private house in a pastoral area where we can live after we retire. We are still processing the magnitude of this moment, but we are keeping our feet on the ground and will make balanced decisions for our family's future."
