Lorenzo Brown Demands Release from Olimpia Milano in X Post

Lorenzo Brown, the former playmaker of Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Spanish national team, continues to find himself in an unusual situation ahead of the new season. Although the 36-year-old guard is not included in Olimpia Milano's tactical plans, he still holds a contract with the Italian club at this stage. After a period during which attempts were made to reach an understanding regarding his future, the player chose on Thursday to send a direct and clear message via the X network.

Brown published an extremely short post consisting of just two words: "Free me". With this, he made it clear that as far as he is concerned, the desire to part ways with Milano still stands, while the club has yet to find a solution to the situation created between the parties.

The professional rift between Brown and Milano is not new. Already during the previous season, it became apparent that the playmaker was not in the team's plans. At the end of January, Milano coach Giuseppe Poeta confirmed that Brown had been removed from the sporting project and would not return to the roster until the end of the season. Up to that point, he had recorded only 12 appearances in the EuroLeague.

Since then, contacts have continued between the parties in an attempt to find an arrangement that would allow his departure, partly against the background of the fact that Brown has another season left on his contract. At the same time, Milano continued building its squad for the new season without including him in its plans.

At some point, it was even reported that the parties had reached an agreement on a separation, which would allow Brown to be released from his contract and explore new options. However, the understandings did not mature into an actual departure. Now, with the new season fast approaching, Brown remains tied to the club.
