Wirtz Shines as Liverpool Overcomes Brentford
Despite the win, questions remain regarding Liverpool's overall form. Brentford suffered their first defeat of the season after being reduced to ten men before halftime. Alexander Isak admitted that the performance was far from convincing, stating that it was a tough match on a difficult ground.
"I am happy with the win. It was a tough game and a difficult ground to play at, especially away from home. We knew it was going to be an ugly game, and it was important to get the three points," Isak told Sky Sports.
