The fifth season of the hit drama series 'Fauda' stands as the most-watched series in the history of YES. This new season tackles the events of October 7, beginning as a story of blood feud (ta'ar) against a Nukhba terrorist who has fled to Marseille. The team reunites, only to be drawn into a dangerous operation to thwart a mega-attack originating from an unexpected direction.
Now, three months after its initial release, the highly discussed fifth season—created by lead star Lior Raz and journalist Avi Issacharoff—is making its way to Netflix and will be available for global viewing starting September 8.
As previously reported, French actress Mélanie Laurent ("Inglourious Basterds") joined the cast for this season; she notably remained in Israel during the recent confrontation with Iran. Alongside Laurent, acclaimed actresses Gal Malka and Reymonde Amsallem have also joined the production, adding layers of depth and tension to an already complex plot.
The Israeli drama-action series "Fauda" first hit screens in 2015 on YES and has since become one of the greatest international successes in the history of Israeli television. It has garnered critical acclaim worldwide for its authenticity, its precise blend of Hebrew and Arabic, and its human, multi-dimensional portrayal of characters from both sides of the divide.
