Concealment and smuggling methods continue to pose a challenge, but the vigilance of the officers prevented another attempt: an illegal resident was arrested on Saturday after being discovered hidden in a creative compartment—a speaker in the trunk, the side of which was obscured by a baby seat.

The incident occurred during operational activity as forces were inspecting a vehicle at the Al-Jib crossing. During the check, the officers noticed a speaker placed in the trunk in a way that aroused their suspicion.

Upon a thorough inspection of the vehicle and the speaker, the side of which was intentionally hidden behind a child sitting in a dedicated seat, the officers located the suspect inside the speaker. The illegal resident and the driver, suspected of transporting him, were arrested and transferred for further investigation to the investigation and intelligence office of the Border Police (Magav) Jerusalem Envelope.

This activity joins the extensive operational efforts of the Border Police in all sectors over the past week. As part of these operations, approximately 460 illegal residents were arrested, along with over 60 additional suspects on suspicion of transporting, harboring, and employing them.
