During the firefighting operations, a mobile agricultural structure caught fire. Firefighters conducted a thorough search of the structure to rule out the presence of trapped individuals and subsequently completed final extinguishing operations.
Fire Captain (Rav-Reshef) Lihi Ben Lulu, the shift commander, stated:
"Upon our arrival at the scene, we acted decisively under complex terrain conditions to stop the fire from spreading toward a major traffic artery. Thanks to the correct deployment of the teams, we managed to bring the fire under control and prevent harm to human life."
According to him, alongside the firefighting efforts, the crews operated under the security of IDF forces from the Etzion Brigade and police officers from the Etzion station.
Fire and Rescue Services stated that a change in weather is expected in the coming days, which increases the risk of fire spread. In accordance with the Commissioner's order, lighting fires in open areas is prohibited until August 31, 2026. The Fire Department also recommends clearing vegetation around homes, and in any case of fire, to dial 102 immediately.
