Liam Gallagher Slams Fontaines D.C. Ahead of 2027 Oasis Tour
Liam Gallagher dismisses Fontaines D.C. as potential Oasis support acts, calling them not good enough as the feud between the rock icons continues.

Liam Gallagher has once again sparked a war of words, dismissing the Irish band Fontaines D.C. as potential support acts for the upcoming 2027 Oasis reunion tour. Responding to queries on X, Gallagher delivered a characteristically blunt verdict on Friday, coinciding with the release of the band's new album, Dopamine Chamber.
The Clash of Personalities
They simply are not good enough and lack the tunes, Gallagher wrote. The friction between the rock icon and the Dublin post-punk outfit has been simmering for months. When Oasis announced their much-anticipated return to the stage, Fontaines D.C. members expressed indifference toward the nostalgia-driven comeback, prompting Gallagher to mock their fashion choices.
Controversial Political Stances
Beyond their ongoing feud with the former Oasis frontman, Fontaines D.C. has frequently courted controversy through their vocal political activism. In September 2025, the band joined the No Music for Genocide initiative, restricting their streaming catalog in Israel. Guitarist Carlos O'Connell also used a victory speech at the 2024 Rolling Stone UK Awards to hurl abuse at Israel.
I love Oasis. That is not my view, frontman Grian Chatten previously clarified on Instagram, attempting to distance himself from the band's dismissal of the Gallagher brothers. However, Liam's latest jab proves the feud is far from over.
